1. Re-check camera and microphone permissions
The most common cause of a call that connects then instantly drops is a camera or mic permission that was granted once and later revoked — often by a browser update or a "clear site data" action. Open your browser site settings, confirm the site is allowed to use the camera and microphone, then reload the page.
If your camera light never comes on at all, another app may be holding it — close video-call apps, then reload. On phones, make sure the browser itself has camera access in your system settings, not just the website.
2. Use an up-to-date Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox
Random video chat relies on WebRTC, which lives inside your browser. An old browser, or an obscure one, can drop calls constantly. Update to a current version of a mainstream browser and the problem often vanishes on its own.
